BSSB (Budget, Save, Spend Better) is a one year project running from 1 November 2014 to 31 October 2015, supported by Hillingdon Community Trust to improve people’s money management skills, abilities and choices through informal community group training sessions in the six wards of Botwell, Townfield, Pinkwell, West Drayton, Yiewsley and Heathrow Villages.

The money management training sessions cover How to Budget (including meal planning on a budget, reviewing expenditure and choosing the best suppliers), Dealing with Bills, Saving for the Future, Choosing Credit, Effective Banking, Into Work – What to Expect and Avoiding Scams among other topics.

The workshops are available as stand-alone sessions or form part of five-week courses as requested, including training sessions for frontline workers who want to ‘cascade’ the training to their own service users.
