Self-Directed Support

The way that adult social care works is changing. “Self-directed support” is being introduced from August 2010 onwards with the aim of giving people greater control and flexibility over how their community care needs are met.

Our advisers will have access to up-to-date information and be able to give assistance with any problems encountered. We will be keen to hear of your experiences so that we can provide evidence on what is and isn’t working well  and help the Council make a success of this important development in adult social care.

We have included a useful link in the right hand section of this web page. You can also find information on ‘What is self-directed support?’ on www.hillingdon.gov.uk.
