An initial assessment will be made to quickly establish the nature of your enquiry and assistance offered from a range of advice and information services. (An automated information service is provided at other times).

Each of our three bureaux provide a reception service, offering initial assessments and assistance from a range of advice and information services, including appointments with our advisers and other agencies providing pro bono advice (free of charge). Hayes CAB: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.00am – 1.00pm
Uxbridge CAB: Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and

Ruislip CAB: Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30am - 12:00pm


Capitalise - Debt Advice

This debt advice service includes advice on income maximisation, money management and debt options (including Debt Management Plans, Debt Relief Orders and Bankruptcy). Access to the project can be made via our Adviceline, face to face assessment at the bureaux (see the Core Services Leaflet) or by emailing cap@hillingdoncab.org.uk.

Money Advice for Tenants
This is a ‘fast track’ service for council tenants with rent arrears, funded by Hillingdon Housing Service. Many potential evictions have been averted by successful negotiation of affordable repayment plans for priority and non-priority debts. Your Housing Officer may refer you to the service or you can refer yourself by phoning 01895 556056 or emailing mat@hillingdoncab.org.uk.

Mental Health Money Advice
If you live in Hillingdon, have mental health needs and need help with Welfare Benefits and / or Debt Advice we can provide you with an easily accessible and well-informed, free service that gives information, advice and assistance.

The service is delivered by an experienced debt and welfare benefits caseworker assisted by a Project Facilitator and a team of specially trained volunteers. You can make contact by coming in to the bureaux, by phoning 01895 277304 or emailing mentalhealth@hillingdoncab.org.uk.

You can also ask your Mental Health Team to refer you using the referral form by clicking referral form for organisations or you can refer yourself to the service by clicking self referral details.

The Project Facilitator will contact you to assess your advice needs through a gateway (or triage) process, this may result in giving you relevant information, an appointment to see an adviser or referral to a solicitor depending on your needs.

We can now provide you with one-to-one advice on energy issues throughout the year. If you are concerned about your energy bills and how to make savings, request an EBDX appointment by phone (0344 848 7903) or telephone call-back request, visit to the bureaux or by emailing ebdx@hillingdoncab.org.uk

Advice by phone

Please note you do not need to visit one of our three offices in order to make an appointment. We make appointments after an initial assessment of individual needs and the process is the same on the phone and in the bureaux.
